“I wish to be cremated. One tenth of my ashes shall be given to my agent, as written in our contract.” — Groucho Marx
It may seem obvious, but cremation destroys DNA. It’s one of those things which may become more relevant in future, so perhaps worth bearing in mind.
We always recommend that our clients make their funeral wishes clear – it isn’t just the funeral plan (that’s obviously very important) it is who is to be invited, who must not be forgotten, what you would like done by way of memorial, flowers, donations, type of service and many more things. It is all so that you can be the final arbiter if the family can’t agree.
It is all about avoiding family arguments and making the memorial service a relatively joyful afair, not one which permanently splits the family!
